Scouting Bio for our Executive Vice President Msgr, Anthony Marchitelli Fr. Tony joined Scouting in 1960 with Troop 1 in the Bronx. He attained the rank of Star Scout. His first summer at TMR was 1961 and he has been coming back ever since. Fr. Tony was the Camp Director of Kernochan from 1981-82. From 1990-1994 he was the Director at Keowa and he served as the Assistant TMR Reservation Director from 1995 to 2004. He has completed the National Camp School Camp Management Course. During his many years on staff, he has held many positions in addition to his Director position. He received the Vigil Honor from Shu Shu Ga Lodge. He earned his Woodbadge Beads in 1981 on course NE III-62-4. Fr. Tony has also received the Bronze Pelican and St. George Awards. Fr. Tony continues to serve as the Scout Chaplain for Scouting in the Archdiocese of New York. He has received the Silver Beaver from Westchester-Putnam Council. He also was the first FOTMR member to be honored by FOTMR for his service to the group and TMR. He currently is an active member of Troop 170 in the Bronx. Fr. Tony was elevated to Monsignor by the Church and is currently the President of Archbishop Stepinac Catholic High School in White Plains, NY. |
