Friends of Ten Mile River Annual Memorial Day Work Weekend - May, 2006
| The FOTMR Memorial Day work weekend is the official kick-off for the summer activities at Ten Mile River. The task this year was all about tent platforms. We had quite the assembly line, from framing the platforms, to surfacing them, to sealing them. We had 18 members come to help with additional members with their camp staffs or the OA. The Council provided us materials to build 49 platforms, of which we completed 28 and framed the remaining 21. There were power tools, air tools, music, and of course, great food provided generously by fellow members Charlie and Lusi Hart. Everyone pitched in and had a great time. |
