Andrea joined Girl Scouting in 1992 at Good Shepherd Church in Brooklyn, where she remained until the Junior level. In 2001, Andrea joined Troop 2141 as a Cadet at Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, and as a Senior in 2003 earned the Gold Award, the highest rank in Girl Scouting. As an Adult Girl Scout, she served as co-leader with a Brownie troop at Good Shepherd. In 2004, Andrea began to do volunteer work with the Friends of Ten Mile River, joining as a member the following year. In 2005, she joined the staff of Camp Aquehonga as Business Manager. Since that summer, she has been a frequent volunteer at Camp Aquehonga and TMR.

Andrea is the current FoTMR Activities Chairperson. She currently works at St. John's University as an administrator in the Office of the President and as an Adjunct Professor of Theology.
